Email Councils & Committees

What Are Emailexpert Councils & Committees?

Emailexpert Councils and Committees are collaborative spaces where experienced members of the global email community come together to shape our programs, events, and shared knowledge.

Rather than setting formal policy or technical standards, these groups focus on peer-led insight, professional development, and industry collaboration — helping guide the direction of Emailexpert’s content, community initiatives, and educational efforts.

We operate on a “by the industry, for the industry” model, where real-world practitioners contribute their time and experience to support others and move the conversation forward.

They’re a space for professionals to connect, contribute, and help guide the direction of the Emailexpert network through a “by the industry, for the industry” approach. From event programming to education, we believe leadership should come from within the community.

Our Structure

The Inbox Council

A senior advisory group made up of leading figures from platforms, mailbox providers, SaaS vendors, and service providers. This invitation-only body helps guide our overall direction, offering strategic input into events, research, and community initiatives. Members are recognised leaders in the field.

Standing Committees

We currently support the following active committees, each with their own projects and meeting cycles:

  • Events & Experiences Committee – Shapes the agenda, structure, and quality of Emailexpert’s global and regional events, including the Deliverability Summit, Inbox Expo, and MarTech FEST. Members may suggest speakers, host sessions, and guide new formats.
  • Education & Certification Committee – Oversees course development, certification frameworks, and expert content for the Emailexpert Academy. Members participate in curriculum design, peer review, and content sourcing.
  • Membership & Community Committee – Focuses on growing and supporting our member base. This includes improving accessibility, DEI initiatives, benefits development, and member communications.
  • Ethics, Safety & Trust Committee – Promotes responsible practices in email marketing, deliverability, privacy, compliance, and technology. May contribute to codes of conduct, accountability frameworks, and industry-wide guidance.

Additional ad hoc or regional working groups (e.g. EmailMeetups, APAC/EMEA regional hubs, or functional groups like Abuse/Compliance) may be proposed.
